Beware the China copy artists at work

Since the iPhones launch one popular way of bypassing the AT&T simlock has been through the use of TurboSim. This product, while not cheap provides a hardware based solution that allows you to activate your iPhone without hacking the software and thus no (at least up until now) issues with updates.

Well, “all is not well in the state of Denmark” as they say. A company called One-Stop-China.com have started selling their own knock off called “Turbo Sim”. Who would have thought a space could make so much difference. Apart from being a cheap copy, there is also one important fact you all need to know. It does not work in Australia.

So if you see “Turbo Sim’s” for sale either on eBay or elsewhere, don’t be tempted by the name and cheaper price.

Another option I can recommend is NextSim. This is similar to TurboSim but was specifically made to unlock the iPhone. It is also cheaper.
